Maria Köstlinger (born July 6, 1972 in Stockholm , Sweden ) is an Austrian actress .

Life

Maria Köstlinger is the daughter of the tenor Josef Köstlinger and his Swedish wife Kerstin. She grew up in Salzburg , where the family moved when Köstlinger was two years old.

Köstlinger played in the “Theater VITRIOL” with Doris Harder and from 1988 to 1993 took acting lessons in Vienna . In 1994 she was engaged by the Salzburg State Theater. Since 1996 she has been a member of the Theater in der Josefstadt ensemble , where she made her debut in Barefoot in the Park by Neil Simon under the direction of Klaus Rohrmoser . Directed by Peter Stein , she appeared in his production of Der Alpenkönig und der Misfeen by Ferdinand Raimund at the Salzburg Festival .

In 1997, Köstlinger married the actor and director Karlheinz Hackl , and she has a daughter with him. Karlheinz Hackl died on June 1, 2014.

She has been in a relationship with her fellow actor Juergen Maurer since 2016 .

In 2011 she was nominated for the Nestroy Theater Award for Best Actress .
