Denninger - Der Mallorcakrimi is an eight-part German crime series by ZDF , which was first broadcast from 2001 to 2003. The title role was initially played by Bernhard Schir , from episode 3 Gregor Törzs took over the role of Commissioner Jo Denninger. UFA Fernsehproduktion GmbH was responsible for the production . The title music was contributed by the Heidelberg band De-Phazz , founded in 1997 .

Jo Denninger from the Federal Criminal Police Office takes a year off on the Balearic island of Mallorca , where he is staying with his uncle Max von Lahnstein. Together with him and Denninger's friend Schumann, they investigate missing persons and murder cases on the island.
