But the enthusiasm soon gives way to sober reality. At first, all of your luggage disappears, the driver is not on time and the promised townhouse in the elegant colonial style is a building site. Sabine remains alone with the hectic chaos because her husband is hard at work. Their daughter Emma, on the other hand, loves the unfamiliar environment and enjoys the change of scenery. But Sabine also gradually comes into contact with the locals. So she befriends the Chinese Lilly, the mother of one of Emma's classmates. She learns more about the country's cultural characteristics through them.

Christof, on the other hand, has completely different problems. He cannot find any contact with his company. All staff only speak Thai. And his German contact, Jochen Zimmermann, is afraid for his job, so that he sabotages all of Christof's plans. Only when he hires a personal interpreter with the beautiful Thai Eleanor does his situation improve. But Sabine quickly notices that Eleanor is flirting very aggressively with her husband, which she absolutely dislikes. When Eleanor and Christof went on a business trip for several days, she saw her chance. Meanwhile, Sabine Christof's client Herbert Dollmann, who has a crush on her, tries to fend off.

Reviews

"(TV) culture clash comedy, developed more routinely than inspired."

“Is television getting worse and worse? Here already: Racist clichés, condescending prejudices and embarrassing self-talk are rarely mixed up in such an inedible TV curry. Neither Thais nor we viewers deserve that! [...] Unbearable: Shame of others in a foreign country "
