Edita Malovčić
Edita Malovčić (born January 21, 1978 in Vienna ; stage name Madita ) is an Austrian actress and singer-songwriter .
Life
Malovčić was born in Vienna and grew up in the 14th district of Vienna (Penzing) with her mother, who, as a native Bosnian, emigrated with her parents in the 1960s as part of the first wave of guest workers. Her father, Kemal Malovčić , a well-known Bosnian turbo folk singer, left her mother when Edita was one and a half years old.
She studied musicology, special and curative education , but did not graduate. Alongside her studies, she took private acting lessons.
Act
In 1999 she was hired by Barbara Albert for her film Nordrand , where she played the leading role alongside Nina Proll . This was followed by other roles in the films Berlin is in Germany (2001), Kaltfront (2003), Zelary (2003), Vier Minuten (2006), Zweiohrküken (2009) and The Bone Man (2009). She also starred in television series such as B. Tatort , Inspector Rex , SOKO Kitzbühel , Medicopter 117 - the latter in a continuous supporting role over three seasons.
As a singer she first appeared on the 2002 CD Gran Riserva by DZihan & Kamien, where she contributed the vocals to the tracks Drophere and Thrill . Under the stage name Mardie she published in October 2005, Couch Records self-titled debut - album , produced by Vlado Dzihan. Their style is a mixture of funk , jazz and electronica . The album was released in December 2005 via the online music service iTunes Store and reached number 3 on the US iTunes Electronic album download charts in January . As a result, Madita was also placed in the top ten in most of the other iTunes countries. The album reached number 1 in the World Music album download charts on iTunes UK.
On the 2006 album Coup DeBam by Coup DeBam, also a Couch Records production, she contributed the song Too Soon . In 2008 she released her second studio album, Too, with the single Because . On March 11, 2010, Madita presented her third album entitled Pacemaker in Vienna's WUK .
Since 2013 Malovčić can be seen in the Hamburg Tatort with Til Schweiger in the role of the public prosecutor Hanna Lennertz.
