Nina Proll
Nina Proll (born January 12, 1974 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress , singer and dancer .
Life
Nina Proll grew up in Haugschlag in the Waldviertel near the Czech border, first attended the Waidhofen high school and came to Vienna at the age of 13. At the age of 16 she attended an acting class for the first time and took dance and singing lessons. After graduating from the Catholic girls' high school Sacré Cœur , she attended the “Theater an der Wien Studios” of the United Bühnen Wien for a year and then moved to the “Performing Arts Studios Vienna” for two years, which she completed in 1996. During her training at the Performing Arts Studios Vienna , she was involved in professional musical productions in Klagenfurt ( Jesus Christ Superstar , 1994) and Amstetten ( Sweet Charity , 1995). Only later did she turn to film. In 1999 she celebrated her first major film success as the leading actress in Barbara Albert's feature film debut Nordrand (1999). The role brought her several awards, including the Marcello Mastroianni Prize at the Venice International Film Festival for best young actress and that as the shooting star of European film. In 2002 she played the leading role in the first Austrian-Chinese film coproduction, At the other end of the bridge . In 2016 she played the role of Pascal in the film adaptation of the youth book Die Mitte der Welt by Jakob M. Erwa .
She has been married to the Austrian actor Gregor Bloéb since July 2008 , their first son was born in June 2008, the second son was born in November 2010.
On her CD “12 songs, not the worst”, Nina Proll covers German-language hits from Hildegard Knef , Wir sind Helden , Münchener Freiheit and Falco, among others . In 2006 she toured Austria with her new CD "Nina Proll live".
Nina Proll took part in the 3rd season of the Austrian Dancing Stars , starting on March 9, 2007, she and her partner Balázs Ekker were eliminated in round 7.
With the film Anna Fucking Molnar , in which she also plays the title role Anna, she made her debut as a screenwriter.
