Marcello Mastroianni Prize

The Marcello Mastroianni Prize (Italian: Premio Marcello Mastroianni ) is an award given at the annual Venice Film Festival . The award is given in recognition of the best acting performance by a young actor or actress in a competition film and was first awarded at the 55th edition of the film festival in 1998. The actor's prize is awarded separately from the Coppa Volpi and named after the Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni (1924–1996).
Award winners
Italian (1998, 2003, 2009, 2012) and American actors (2008, 2010, 2013, 2017) were honored four times each, followed by three victories for French actors (2006, 2007 and 2014). One of the youngest winners of the Marcello Mastroianni Prize at the age of 14 is British Megan Burns, and the oldest winner at 28 is the South Korean Moon So-ri .
