Charlie Plummer
Charlie Plummer (born May 24, 1999 in Poughkeepsie , New York ) is an American actor who began his career as a child actor .
Life
Charlie Plummer is the son of actress Maia Guest and screenwriter and film producer John Christian Plummer . In James Plummer, Charlie Plummer has a younger brother.
After attending seven different schools in Los Angeles , Upstate New York and New York City , Plummer first appeared on television in 2011 with a guest appearance on Onion SportsDome . In the same year he played the role of young Jordan in the film We Are the Hartmans . Between 2011 and 2013 Plummer played Michael Thompson in eight episodes of the television series Boardwalk Empire and then Timmy Sanders in 24 episodes of Granite Flats until 2015 . At the time, Plummer was among the last few candidates to replace Spider-Man, but Tom Holland ultimately got that role.
This was followed by bigger roles in films like King Jack and The Dinner . In September 2017, the film Lean on Pete was presented at the Venice Film Festival , in which 18-year-old Plummer played the leading role as 15-year-old Charley Thompson trying to save a horse from the slaughterhouse. Plummer was awarded the Marcello Mastroianni Prize for his acting performance in this film . Plummer's portrayal in the film was widely praised by critics, especially because he had to portray the inner monologues that he led in the role of Charley and which are only thought in the novel in the film linguistically and outwardly. The Hollywood Reporter's David Rooney calls Plummer the real heart of the film. He compares the film to Gus Van Sant's My Private Idaho .
In the movie All the money in the world of Ridley Scott Plummer won the role of John Paul Getty III . At the side of Michelle Williams and Mark Wahlberg , he plays the son of the US billionaire John Paul Getty II , who was the victim of a spectacular kidnapping in Italy in 1973. The film was released in US theaters on December 25, 2017.
