In May 2015 it was announced that Pippa Bianco was planning a feature film based on her short film Share .
In October 2017, the cast with Charlie Plummer , Poorna Jagannathan , JC Mackenzie and Lovie Simone became known.
Filming began at this time. The film music is composed by Shlohmo . The soundtrack, which comprises a total of 17 pieces of music, was released for download by Milan Records in August 2019.
The film premiered on January 25, 2019 as part of the Sundance Film Festival and was shown out of competition at the Cannes International Film Festival in May 2019 . In August 2019 it was presented at the Melbourne International Film Festival. In September 2019 the film will be shown in the main competition at the American Film Festival in Deauville .
