Lilly (Nina Proll) and Betty (Sonja Romei) dream of America and Rock'n'Roll, but Ternitz is no place for the two women. Betty works at the local dog grooming shop and her friend Lilly is a car mechanic. When the Elvis impersonator El Bresli (Gerald Votava) appears nearby, the two drive to his concert in their red Ford Mustang . Lilly falls in love with Bruce (Ade Sapara), but her friend Betty only has eyes for El Bresli. Lilly begins learning English and is undergoing breast augmentation in order to live her dream in America.
The film tells that not every dream comes true, from the disillusionment of life and from unfulfilled dreams.
