Sonja Romei
Sonja Romei (* 1973 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress and singer .
Life
Sonja Romei is the daughter of an Austrian mother and a father of Turkish origin. She studied singing in Vienna, followed by a private acting course, which she completed in 2000 with the stage maturity examination before the joint commission of the stage union. From the end of the 1990s, Romei worked as an actress on stages in Austria and Germany, including the Reichenau Festival , the Rabenhof Theater , the Drachengasse Theater , the Stadt Haag Summer Theater, the Berndorf City Theater, the Theater der Jugend, the Neue Bühne Villach, the Metropol Wien, at the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck . She also worked in film and television productions, including (in the continuous role of the therapist) in the TV series "Copstories", in episode roles in "Fast Determined" (director: Gerald Liegl), in the TV crime thriller "Die Toten von Salzburg - Mordwasser "(Director: Erhard Riedlsperger). As a singer, Romei was a member of the a cappella group 4She from 2007 to 2009 . She was also the composer, lyricist and singer of the Viennese music formation Lorelei Lee , which she founded and whose first album came out in 2008. The second album followed in 2012, which was funded by the Austrian Music Fund. With Drew Sarich , she released the single Move Me in 2012 .
Romei is a member of the Academy of Austrian Films .
