Vienna's Lost Daughters is a documentary by the Austrian director and screenwriter Mirjam Unger . The idea and the title for "Vienna´s Lost Daughters" came from Sonja Ammann and Lisa Juen, two authors who wrote the script together with Mirjam Unger. The film was shot between August and December 2005 in New York City by Wiener Mobilefilm. The distributor is Polyfilm .

Brief content
Vienna's Lost Daughters deals with eight Jewish women over the age of 80 than young women 1938 / 1939 before the Nazis fled from Vienna to New York. The film describes their ambivalent relationship to Vienna and tries to trace their traumatic experiences with flight and arrival in a new, uncertain life.
