Birgit Hutter
Birgit Hutter (born April 26, 1941 in Vienna ) is an Austrian costume designer .
Activity and training
Birgit Hutter studied painting at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and at the Art Students League in New York City . She received her diploma in the class for stage design and costume at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She also completed a degree in theater studies at the University of Vienna . She worked as an assistant to Vivienne Westwood and Marc Bohan and taught at the University of Applied Arts Vienna with Paolo Piva . Birgit Hutter has worked in numerous productions as a costume designer for film, television and theater since the 1970s.

Birgit Hutter was married to the Austrian painter Wolfgang Hutter . Their son is the actor Xaver Hutter .
