The second season Kitchen Impossible began on January 29, 2017 and was broadcast on the private broadcaster VOX until March 12, 2017 .

The first broadcast began on January 29, 2017 with Tim Mälzer's duel with Maria Groß and lasted until March 12, 2017, ending with another duel between Mälzer and Tim Raue . Similar to the first season, a repetition took place in the summer of the same year, but it was not broadcast in the original order.

Tim Mälzer cannot be seen in all episodes, but is represented in individual episodes by Tim Raue or Roland Trettl . His opponents are Maria Groß , Hans Neuner , Holger Bodendorf and again Tim Raue himself, who also competed against Meta Hiltebrand . Mälzer also faced Christian Lohse again , the episode being unsent material intended for season 1. Roland Trettl also measured himself against Christian Lohse. A second planned duel between Trettl and Peter Maria Schnurr was filmed, but not broadcast as part of the second season. In inquiries by the BILD newspaper , VOX referred to "reasons for programming" and that there was "a new broadcast date [...] not yet". In the end, the episode aired within the third season.
