Curd strudel
A curd strudel (also quark strudel , in Hungarian Túrós rétes ) is a strudel pastry, similar to an apple strudel , that was created on the territory of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy .
A curd cheese strudel is filled with curd cheese , to which cream is often added. Common ingredients also include eggs, sugar, raisins and spices such as vanilla. The mass is rolled in strudel dough , but puff pastry is also suitable. The strudel can be prepared in a baking dish or on a greased baking sheet . In Austria , curd cheese strudel is often eaten with vanilla sauce.
