Meta Hiltebrand (born April 8, 1983 in Bülach ) is a Swiss television chef , cookbook author and restaurant entrepreneur.

Life & Education

Meta Hiltebrand was born in Bülach as the youngest child of an owner of an electrical shop. She has a sister eight years older and a brother six years older. Meta Hiltebrand attended a cooking school in Zurich and completed her apprenticeship in the Zurich restaurants Rigihof and Bauhaus . She was trained by Fabio Codarini, teacher and chef at the Rigihof restaurant , and by Patrick Buser, chef at the Widder Hotel and the Château Mosimann . Later she cooked for the VIP Club Haute and for the Monte Primero Münsterhof in Zurich.

Professional career

Meta Hiltebrand was until the end of 2010 TV chef in the show kochen.tv of TeleZüri . In 2011 she opened the Meta's Kutscherhalle in Zurich. In 2013 she took over the restaurant Le Chef from the gastro entrepreneur Fred Tschanz, who died in 2012, as the second restaurant. In February 2016 she competed in the VOX show Kitchen Impossible as Tim Mälzer's opponent and won. In February 2017, she dueled in another episode of the show with Tim Raue , to whom she lost. She was a professional chef in one episode of the cooking show Grill den Profi , and she occasionally appears as a juror in the ZDF cooking show Die Küchenschlacht . Since 2019 she can be seen regularly in the program "eat & drink for every day" on RTL Plus. Hiltebrand is a juror in the TV show “Die Promi Griller” on Swiss television.
