Jens Jakob

Jens Jakob (born January 1, 1972 ) is a German chef.

Career

Jakob started his apprenticeship in 1990 in the Hostellerie Bacher in Neunkirchen (Saar) . After further positions, including in the "Legere" restaurant in Saarbrücken , he moved to Klaus Erfort's guest house in Saarbrücken in 2004 .

From 2007 he was the owner and head chef at Le Noir in Saarbrücken, which was awarded one star in the Michelin Guide in 2010 . In 2012 the second star was added.

In 2014 he moved to the nearby Hotel Leidinger . His new restaurant, Le Noir Gourmet , received another star shortly after the move. Jakob closed Le Noir Gourmet in mid-2015 . In mid-2015 he opened Jens Jakob Das Restaurant , which was awarded one star at the end of 2015. In April 2016 the bankruptcy of the company Le Noir became known, in July 2016 Jens Jakob Das Restaurant was also closed.
