Christoph Kunz (cook)

Christoph Kunz (born December 31, 1985 ) is a German chef .

Career

After training at the Colombi Hotel in Freiburg , Kunz went to Paris to the Jules Verne restaurant run by Alain Ducasse (a Michelin star ). Then he switched to the Vendome restaurant with Joachim Wissler in Bensberg (three Michelin stars) and the Schauenstein Schloss restaurant with Andreas Caminada in Fürstenau (three Michelin stars). From 2014 he cooked in the Dallmayr restaurant at Diethard Urbansky in Munich (two Michelin stars), most recently as sous chef.

In September 2018 he became head chef at the Alois restaurant (the successor to Dallmayr ) in Munich, for which he was awarded 17 points in Gault Millau 2019 in November 2018 as a “young talent” . In 2019 the restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars.
