Olympian Motors Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

RA Palmer had previous automotive experience with the Cartercar Company and the Pontiac Chassis Company . In 1917 he founded the company in Pontiac , Michigan . In early 1917 he bought the former Cartercar plant, which was now owned by General Motors . Palmer knew the work and appreciated it. In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Olympian .

At the beginning of 1918 around ten vehicles were made a day. After the end of the First World War and the associated interruption in production, this number rose to 15 in early 1919.

A total of 2070 vehicles were built. Friend Motors Corporation took over the company in 1920 .

vehicles

Only one model was on offer. The Model 37 had a four-cylinder engine with 23 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 284 cm . In contrast to many competing vehicles, light colors were also available.

In 1917 there was a touring car with five seats and two different roadsters with two and four seats.

For 1918 to 1919, the touring car and the four-seater roadster are no longer mentioned, although the elimination of the touring car appears unusual. The two-seat roadster was joined by a five-seat sedan .

In 1920 a two-seater roadster and a five-seater touring car were available.
