Price Belt Auto Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

WC Price tested his first car on May 5, 1907. In September 1907, he founded the company in Chicago , Illinois . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Price . Production ended in 1908.

The prototype had a steering lever, whereas the production vehicles had a steering wheel .

The two-cylinder engine with 12 hp came from the Beaver Manufacturing Company . It drove the rear axle via a belt, a planetary gear and ultimately via a chain. The chassis had a wheelbase of 254 cm . The choices were Runabout and Surrey . The original price was 700 US dollars .
