Valley Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Newell O. Allyn had worked for Packard and the Winton Motor Carriage Company . In 1908 he founded the company in Warren , Ohio . In the same year he started producing automobiles. The brand name was Valley . Production ended in 1908. Later, eight vehicles of this brand were registered in the state of Michigan alone . A second source confirms eight vehicles.

Allyn had developed a rotary engine . It was a four-cylinder , air-cooled engine . It was mounted in the front of the vehicle and drove the rear axle.

The automobile magazine The Automobile tested the engine. The assessment was not so good, especially when compared to the Adams-Farwell rotary engine .
