Fostoria Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

William H. Radford was a designer at the Detroit-Oxford Manufacturing Company in Oxford . After its dissolution in 1905, he took the only prototype with him and moved to Ohio . In 1906 he founded the new company in Fostoria . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Fostoria . Production ended in 1907.

There was no association with the Fostoria Light Car Company , which used the same brand name a few years later.

Radford then worked for Hudson Motor Car Co. and later for Warren Motor Car Company , Pilgrim Motor Car Company and Balboa Motor Car Company .

Only one model was offered. It had a two-cylinder engine with 16 hp . The chassis had a 229 cm wheelbase . The vehicles were bodied as open touring cars . They offered space for five people.
