Ludlow Auto Engineering Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania in 1915 . Karl R. Peters was involved. In the same year the production of passenger cars began . The brand name was initially Peters-Walton and from 1916 Peters Tricar . In that year only commercial vehicles were built . Production ended in 1916.

The vehicles are referred to in one source as a cycle car. However, they exceeded the capacity limit. They had an air-cooled two-cylinder engine with 9 hp . A bore of 84.1375 mm and a stroke of 101.6 mm resulted in a displacement of 1130 cm³ .

They were tricycles with a single front wheel. The motor was mounted above the front wheel and drove it. The chassis had a wheelbase of 208 cm . The body of the car was a roadster with two seats in a row.
