Muncie Auto Parts Company , previously Muncie Wheel & Jobbing Company , was an American manufacturer of automobiles . Another source only mentions the original company name.

Company history

The Muncie Wheel & Jobbing Company was founded in 1903 in Muncie , Indiana . Hugh L. Warner was a designer and superintendent. He designed an automobile. Series production did not begin until October 1905, however. The brand name was Warner . At the time, the company was trading as the Muncie Auto Parts Company . Roy Hathaway, Harvey L. Hooke, HF Quayle and Hugh L. Warner were involved. Vehicle production ended in 1906. On April 4, 1906, a magazine reported about a move within the city. On October 31, 1906, the same magazine reported that the company would exhibit at the Chicago Automobile Show in February 1907. On December 4, 1907, the same magazine reported the start of bankruptcy .

The vehicles had a single cylinder engine . It was mounted in the rear and drove the rear axle via a planetary gear and a chain. The vehicles were bodied as a runabout with two seats. The body could easily be exchanged for a van body. The special feature was the steering column.
