Roader Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1910 in the state of Maine . The seat was in Brockton , Massachusetts . At the end of 1910 the production of automobiles began as model year 1911. The brand name was Roader . Production ended in 1912.

In 1911 there were two cars in the range. The Model 20 had a four-cylinder engine with a 79.375 mm bore and 107.95 mm stroke . This resulted in a displacement of 2137 cm³ and an output of 20 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 236 cm . The only setup was a runabout with two seats. The Model 30 also had a four-cylinder engine, but with a 101.6 mm bore, 107.95 mm stroke and 3501 cm³ displacement. It made 30 hp. The wheelbase was 264 cm. The vehicle was bodied as a roadster with two seats.

In 1912 there was a restriction to one model. The initial plan to discontinue the Model 20 did not go through. Instead, the Model 30 was dropped . The wheelbase was lengthened to 267 cm. The two-seat runabout was joined by a two-seat runabout with front doors.
