Zent Automobile Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Schuyler W. Zent had already gained experience in automobile construction with Zent and the Single Center Spring Company . In October 1904 he founded the new company in Bellefontaine , Ohio . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Zent . Production ended in 1906.

The Bellefontaine Automobile Company followed in 1907 .

In 1905 there was only the 18 HP . It had a three-cylinder engine with 18 hp . It was mounted in the front of the vehicle and drove the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The chassis had a 229 cm wheelbase . The only structure was an open touring car with five seats.

In 1906 this model remained unchanged. The 14 HP was the entry-level model. It had a two-cylinder engine with 14 HP output. The wheelbase was 203 cm. The body was a runabout with two seats. The 35 HP was the top model. The four-cylinder engine developed 35 hp. The wheelbase measured 254 cm. The touring car had space for five people.
