Krohn Light Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles . Louis J. Krohn and LJ Krohn and Company are also named as company names .

Company history

Louis J. Krohn was a bicycle dealer in Oakland , California . In December 1915 he manufactured his first automobile. Then series production began. The brand name was Krohn Kar . On May 13, 1916, Krohn announced that he was looking for a larger factory because of the many orders. After that, nothing is known anymore.

A total of at least seven vehicles were built.

The prototype was bodied as a roadster . A motor with 18 HP power drove the rear axle via a three-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft . The original price was 435 US dollars .

After that, a touring car with four seats is named. The engine developed 22 hp.
