Moline Pump Company was an American manufacturer of engines and automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Moline , Illinois in 1872 . It made pumps and later motors. In addition, some automobiles were made in 1907. The brand name was Illinois .

In the 1910s the track of the company is lost. One source says that engines were still offered around five years after vehicle production was discontinued.

There were two models on offer. Both had a gasoline engine from their own production. The engine power was specified with 12 HP and 20 HP. The vehicles were bodied as an open runabout . The original price was 650 US dollars for the weaker vehicle and 850 dollars for the more powerful vehicle.

In total, fewer than ten vehicles are said to have been produced.
