Eagle Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles . Other sources use the names Eagle Automobile Company and Eagle Motors Company .

Company history

Percy O. Gordon, Eugene W. Jump and Charles E. Strong founded the company in May 1914. The company was based in Los Angeles , California . The factory was finished in September of the same year. In 1914 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Eaglet . Production ended in 1915. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

The vehicles were referred to as cycle cars , but it is unclear whether they met the criteria. A two-cylinder engine drove the rear axle via a planetary gear and a cardan shaft . The chassis had a wheelbase of 241 cm and a track width of 122 cm . There was a choice of a two-seater roadster and a small delivery van . Both cost $ 425 .
