Huron Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles . Another source uses the name Huron Motor Car Company .

Company history

The company was founded in Detroit , Michigan in 1911 . The predecessor was the Vernon Motor Car Company , which in turn followed the Detroit-Dearborn Motor Car Company . JF Burns was President, JW Reynolds Vice President, and JF Sughrow Secretary and Treasurer. They started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Huron . Production ended in the same year.

It is not known how many vehicles were made. Four years after production ended, eight vehicles of this brand were still registered in Michigan.

The vehicles consisted of parts that were left over from the two previous companies. They had a four-cylinder engine . It made between 30 and 35 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 284 cm .
