Cornish-Friedberg Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

FW Cornish and Charles and Louis W. Friedberg founded the company in 1907. The seat was in Chicago , Illinois . They started producing automobiles in the late spring of 1907. The brand name was CF , with the spellings CF and CF also occurring. It wasn't until December 1907 at the Chicago Automobile Show that they presented vehicles for the first time at an automobile exhibition. Production ended in 1909. The sources see under-capitalization as the reason for the liquidation.

Louis Friedberg tried a fresh start with the Chicago Forty .

Only one model was on offer. A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with 35 HP power drove the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The chassis had a wheelbase of 290 cm . Three and four-seater roadsters and a five-seater touring car were available as superstructures .
