Nance Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Harold B. Larzelere, who was previously Sales Director at Chadwick Engineering Works , founded the company in September 1910. The sponsor was a Mr. Nance, who also previously worked for Chadwick. The seat was in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania . Automobile production began in early 1911. The brand name was Nance . Production ended in the same year. By 1917 or 1918, two vehicles were still registered in California .

Larzelere had partnered with a wealthy Philadelphia businessman named Touraine. With him he founded the Touraine Company in 1912, which later became the Vim Motor Truck Company .

Only vehicles with a six-cylinder engine were on offer . One source indicates 35/40 hp . Another source names the designation 30/35 HP , 92.075 mm bore , 103.1875 mm stroke , 4122 cm³ displacement and 35 HP power. The chassis had a wheelbase of 310 cm . There was a choice of a touring car with five seats and a roadster with two seats. The front doors were emphasized. The touring car weighed around 1134 kg.
