Union Sales Company , previously Eagle Motor Car Company , was an American manufacturer of automobiles . Another source uses the names Union Motor Car Company and Union Motor Sales Company .

Company history

JW O'Brian founded the Eagle Motor Car Company in Columbus , Ohio in 1911 . He wanted to manufacture Eagle brand vehicles. When he noticed that this brand name was being used widely, he renamed the company in late 1911. The production took place with the support of the Dunlap Engineering Company and ran from 1911 to 1912. The brand name was Union . A source states that O'Brian went into hiding in February 1912.

Other US manufacturers of passenger cars of the brand Union were Union Electric Company , Union Automobile Company , Union Automobile Manufacturing Company , Union Carriage Company and Union Automobile Company .

The only model was the 25 . It had a four-cylinder engine with 25 hp . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a three-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft . The chassis had a wheelbase of 254 cm . The structure was a roadster with two seats. A noticeable feature was an oval fuel tank behind the seats. The original price was 650 US dollars .
