Auto tricar

Auto-Tricar , also spelled Auto Tri-Car , was an American car brand.

Brand history

Alden E. Osborn had already made a three-wheel prototype in 1906 . In 1914 he manufactured a number of automobiles which he marketed as Auto-Tricar . The company's headquarters were on Valentine Avenue in New York City .

vehicles

Various tricycles were on offer. In all of them, the engine was mounted behind the single front wheel. It drove the front wheel via a two-speed planetary gear and a chain. The water-cooled engines came from Prugh .

One model had a single cylinder engine . The wheelbase was 244 cm. A runabout with two seats in a row had a rear track of 76 cm. A runabout with two seats next to each other and a light commercial vehicle had a track width of 107 cm.

Another model had a two-cylinder engine . The chassis had a wheelbase of 274 cm. The Surrey and Runabout have been handed down with two seats next to each other.
