Burtt Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Frank Burtt and Warren B. Cannon founded the company in Kalamazoo , Michigan , in 1902 . They started producing automobiles in 1903. The brand name was Cannon . In 1906 a larger plant was built. Production ended in the same year. After that, clutches and gasoline engines called Kalamazoo were created . After 1914 the track of the company is lost.

From 1903 to 1905 there were two models in the range. The smaller one was a runabout . A single cylinder engine with 7 HP power drove it. The wheelbase was 183 cm. There was also a tonneau . Its chassis had a wheelbase of 215 cm. The two-cylinder engine developed 15 hp.

In 1906 there were two new models. They were bodied as a tonneau with side entry. The Model 2 had a four-cylinder engine with 50 hp and 305 cm wheelbase. The Model 3 was smaller with a 264 cm wheelbase and less motorized with a 24 hp two-cylinder engine.
