Tinkham Cycle Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Julian R. Tinkham ran the New Haven , Connecticut based company . In 1898 he made a prototype . It was presented at an exhibition in Madison Square Garden in January 1899 . That year automobile production began with the help of Denison Motor Carriage Company , in which Tinkham was involved. The brand name was Tinkham . Production ended in 1899.

The only model was a tricycle. It had a two-cylinder two - stroke engine and chain drive. The chassis had a wheelbase of 137 cm .
