Ayres Gasoline Engine & Automobile Works was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The machinist Wiliam F. Ayres came from San Francisco . In 1900 he moved to Bay City , Michigan . He later moved to Saginaw , also in Michigan. There he founded the company. Mainly he made engines. Between 1902 and 1905 he also manufactured automobiles. The brand name was Ayres . In 1907 he moved to Rochester , Michigan. On May 3, 1909, the company was dissolved.
