James H. Lancaster Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

James H. Lancaster founded the company in New York City in 1900 . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Lancamobile . Production ended in 1901.

An ordinary small car was on offer. A two-cylinder engine with 7 hp was mounted under the seat. It drove the rear axle via a chain. The open structure as vis-à-vis offered two bench seats opposite. Was steered with a steering lever.

The starter was unusual .
