Ritter was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Edward E. Ritter lived from 1863 to 1924. In the 1890s he ran a bicycle dealership in Milton , Pennsylvania . In 1896 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Ritter . A blacksmith from the same town helped make the vehicle frames. Vehicle production ended in 1901. In total, only a few vehicles were built. Ritter later ran a dealership for Jackson .

There was no association with the Ritter Automobile Company , which used the same brand name.
