Philadelphia Motor Vehicle Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1900 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Imperial . JC Nichols is named as the driving force behind the project. Plans for a larger plant in Camden , New Jersey were no longer implemented. Production ended in 1901.

Only one model was on offer. It had a single cylinder engine with 4 hp . The body in the form of a runabout was open and offered space for two people. The maximum speed was given as 26 km / h. The tires were 32 inches in size. A steering lever was used for steering, starting and braking at the same time.
