Binney & Burnham was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

James L. Binney and John Appleton Burnham founded the company in Boston , Massachusetts in January 1902 . At this point they had already made a steam car for George McQuesten. Now they produced vehicles according to customer orders. The brand name was Binney & Burnham . One of the buyers was Elliot C. Lee. Production ended in December 1902. In January 1903, the partners separated.

Burnham was then involved in Lyman & Burnham .

Only heavy steam cars were on offer. The lightest two-seater weighed around 500 kg. Model B was a runabout and Model C was a touring car with space for eight people. The top speed is described as low. The steam engine had two cylinders .
