Strathmore Automobile Company , previously the International Automobile Company , was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The International Automobile Company was founded in Boston , Massachusetts in 1899 . Already in July 1899 the name was changed to Strathmore Automobile Company when it was noticed that the original name was being used by several other companies. In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Strathmore . Production ended in 1901.

On the one hand steam cars with a steam engine and on the other hand vehicles with a gasoline engine were on offer . The engines made 6 hp each . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a chain. Was steered with a steering lever. There was a choice of runabouts and delivery vans , with the latter being sold more frequently.
