Crowdus Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The production of automobiles began as early as December 1899. They were marketed as crowdus . The company was officially founded in 1901 in Chicago , Illinois . FH Cooper was the funder. Production ended in 1902.

vehicles

Only electric cars were on offer . They had a tubular frame and wooden wheels. The steering lever was designed to steer, accelerate and brake at the same time. The bodies were open. Called is a Stanhope . The top speed of the first models was given as 37 km / h.

In the models from 1901 onwards, the focus was on range . It should have been 160 km at a speed of 16 km / h.
