Consolidated Motor Company , previously Moyea Automobile Company , was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Henry Cryder founded the Moyea Automobile Company in early January 1903 . The seat was in New York City . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Moyea . Production took place initially in Middletown , Ohio , and later by Alden Sampson in Pittsfield , Massachusetts . In January 1904 the company name changed to Consolidated Motor Company . The company did not move into its own factory in Rye , New York , until 1904.

Production ended in 1904. Alden Sampson took over and formed the Alden Sampson Manufacturing Company .

The model from 1903 was the 12/16 HP . The four-cylinder engine was specified with 12/16 hp . The chassis had a 224 cm wheelbase . The structure was a tonneau with five seats. The original price was 5,000 US dollars .

In 1904 the 25 HP appeared . The chassis had been reinforced for the bad roads. The engine now developed 25 hp. The wheelbase was 231 cm. The open touring car offered space for five people. The price could be reduced to $ 4,000.
