PT Motor Company was an American manufacturer of engines and automobiles .

Company history

AM Hudson and FB Widmayer offered an auxiliary motor for bicycles as early as 1900 . They later sold the rights to this engine to Crescent .

It wasn't until 1901 that they founded the company in New York City . Hudson became president and Widmayer became secretary and treasurer. Now they made engines for motor vehicles. Motorcycles and automobiles were also created . The brand name was PT . After 1902 the track of the company is lost.

Products

The auxiliary engine from 1900 was a single cylinder engine with 1 hp . It cost 75 dollars .

The engines from 1901 onwards were also single-cylinder engines. They were air-cooled and available in 3 hp, 4 hp, 6 hp and 8 hp.

The motorcycles had the engine with 3 HP power.

The automobiles were bodied as a runabout . The new price was around $ 500.
