Wood Vapor Vehicle Company was an American manufacturer of motor vehicles .
Company history
Joseph C. Wood had previously operated the Wood-Loco Vehicle Company . In 1903, together with CT Sauer and ES Wood, he founded the new company in Brooklyn , New York State . They started with the production of automobiles . The brand name was Wood . In 1903 the production of passenger cars ended and in 1905 that of commercial vehicles .

The cars had a steam engine with three cylinders that developed 8 hp . The engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle under a hood . Due to its shape, the hood was similar to that of De Dion-Bouton . The kettle was placed under the frame. The solid rubber tires were 36 inches tall. The car weighed about 204 kg. The original price was 450 US dollars .
