Aultman Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Henry J. Aultman had made a steam car in Cincinnati , Ohio as early as 1898 . In 1901 he moved to Canton , Ohio, and started the company. As early as March 1901, the first ten vehicles that had been pre-ordered were almost ready for delivery. The brand name was Aultman . Problems arose in October 1902, but they were overcome. Production ended in September 1905 when the company went bankrupt .

Only steam cars were offered. One illustration shows a light open two-seater with a hood. The engine power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a chain. There were also utility vehicles with steam engines , one of which was four-wheel drive.

In September 1901, a vehicle with a gasoline engine was created that remained a prototype . It had a steering lever.
