Rochester Gasoline Carriage & Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1901 in Rochester , New York , USA . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Rochester . Production ended in 1902. Some vehicles were used as taxis between Buffalo and Niagara Falls .

There was no connection with the Rochester Cycle Manufacturing Company from the same town, which also sold automobiles as Rochester in 1901.
