Model Gas Engine Company was an American manufacturer of motors and automobiles from California .

Company history

The company was initially located at 266 South Los Angeles Street in Los Angeles . In 1904 it moved to North 108 in the same town. Charles S. Stewart and Perry H. Greet ran it. They mainly produced engines. They also made some automobiles between 1904 and 1905. The brand name was Model . In 1905 the company was dissolved.

There are no known connections to the Model Gas Engine Works from Indiana , which at times also operated as the Model Gas Engine Company, and to the Model Carriage Company from Texas . Both companies also marketed passenger cars as models .
