Ideal Automobile Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in New Castle , Indiana in 1901 . In November 1901 the production of automobiles was announced and started in January 1902. The brand name was Ideal . HH Hennigen was the designer. John E. Cramer of St. Louis bought the first vehicle.

Production ended in 1902.

There were several US manufacturers of Ideal branded passenger vehicles: Ideal Automobile Manufacturing Company, Richmond & Holmes Company , B. & P. ​​Company , Ideal Motor Vehicle Company , Ideal Runabout Manufacturing Company , Bethlehem Automobile Company , Ideal Electric Vehicle Company , Ideal Shop and Bethlehem Motor Truck Company .
