Mackle-Thompson Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Frederick Mackle and Andrew C. Thompson were mechanics. Thompson had previous automotive experience with Thompson . They founded the company in Elizabeth , New Jersey , in 1903 . In the same the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Mackle-Thompson . They also sold Oldsmobile vehicles and ran a repair shop. In 1903, the company's own vehicle production ended.
It is not known when the company was dissolved.

The vehicles had a single cylinder engine with air cooling . In the Model B it had 3.5 hp and in the Model C 5 hp. It drove the rear axle via a two-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft . Another source only mentions the more powerful engine and a three-speed transmission. The setup was an open runabout for two people. The vehicles were right-hand drive .
